Standing in the Q..

Chat with the DC head. Though I am not into the habit of “chatting with”  guys.. that too someone who is unknown and very much old. What can we have in common. Inspite of all this I wanted to peep into the chat room and take a look at what is happening. The portal was a remake of the old yahoo chat rooms but unfortunately you could talk to only one guy. U paste a question and you are supposed to get a answer which all others can see. Now let me check out what the kids are chatting with the DC head. As usual I am shocked looking at what is happening in infy.

 

Out of ten people nine were discussing about the food quality / food pricing / food queues and any issues that had the word food associated with it.( The remaining one question which was sensible and needed an answer got rejected.) I really wonder how much people are into this food. I double checked if i am into the rite chat room or had logged into some canteen committee discussion. I was in the right place but the discussion that was going on was total non sense. I really pity the DC head who wud have felt himself as a Chief cook or Head of a catering committee.

 

No wonder I don’t like certain parts of the country where the problem is wrongly focused or the focus is on the wrong problem.

 

This was just one fine case of what I have said. The few who asked the right questions were either ignored or left un answered. When you have so much to ask about people are most bothered about food. I read this famous quote somewhere.. "Give a man a Fish and he eats for a day .. Teach a man to Fish and He eats for a lifetime.." and here in my company this will need a rephrasing. "Give him a decent meal with a spoon and No long Q.. He stays in infy for a life time.."

 

Why do HR s break their head on reducing the attrition levels. I found it out so easily.. but can my solution be applied .. no. no way..

We are CMM level 5 .. we follow processes.. Innovating in the Challenging environment.. Taking the initiative.. oops all that is coming back to me now.. I better take a break.. Going for lunch before the Q gets too long.
